Malleable cast iron is a special iron material, and its plasticity and toughness are different from those of steel.
Malleable cast iron pipe fittings refer to pipe fittings made of malleable cast iron. Malleable cast iron is commonly known as malleable cast iron, malleable iron, and vermicular cast iron. The production process is: first, it is cast into white cast iron parts, and then it is annealed by forgeable casting (forgeable casting annealing decomposes cementite into flocculent graphite) to obtain forgeable cast iron parts. Since the graphite in forgeable cast iron is in the form of floccules, it has less effect on the matrix, so its mechanical properties are higher than those of gray cast iron, and its plasticity and toughness are good. However, forgeable cast iron cannot be forged and pressed. The matrix structure of forgeable cast iron is different, and its performance is also different. Among them, blackheart forgeable cast iron has higher plasticity and toughness, while pearlite forgeable cast iron has higher strength, hardness and wear resistance.
